Mauricio Pochettino looks to have survived his debut season in the Blues hotseat and a sixth-placed finish, which will be guaranteed with a point today, will surely be seen as a success after much of the season was spent in mid-table.
Four wins in a row have taken Chelsea away from Newcastle and Manchester United, while even putting them within sight of fifth-placed Tottenham. Should Spurs lose at Sheffield United, Pochettino could leapfrog his old team with a win.

Today’s Chelsea vs Bournemouth live stream sees both sides out to end the season on a high as the Blues aim to make sure of a place in Europe next season and the Cherries look to add to their record points tally
For much of this season it looked as though it would be a disappointing campaign for Mauricio Pochettino and his young Chelsea squad. However, the Blues have found form at the right time and have strung together some impressive performances and results. Cole Palmer has caught the eye all season but has been ably supported in recent weeks by Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Connor Gallagher.
A draw for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge will secure European football for next season but it won’t be easy against a Bournemouth side who have amassed the highest top-flight points total in their history. The Cherries sit on 48 points and despite a home defeat to Brentford last weekend, have enjoyed a remarkable season under Andoni Iraola. The Spaniard signed a new contract in midweek and will be hoping to end the season on a high with another statement victory.
If the Blues win or draw against the Cherries they will finish in a minimum of sixth place, which secures Europa League qualification, provided Manchester United do not win the FA Cup final on May 25.
However, a victory could potentially push Chelsea up into fifth spot, if Tottenham lose at Sheffield United, and goal difference favours Mauricio Pochettino's team in the final tallies.
Pochettino is without seven players for the final game of the campaign and and he is expected to rotate from the midweek win over Brighton. Reece James is suspended following a red card against the Seagulls, but Christopher Nkunku should come in to start, alongside the departing Thiago Silva.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have taken plenty of flak this term but things have clicked for them in recent weeks, and they now head into the summer with plenty of excitement about what can be achieved under the Argentine coach over the next few years.
Wednesday evening's win over Brighton means they're on course to play European football next season, and could still pinch fifth place from Tottenham on Sunday – though they'll need to beat the Cherries and hope that Sheffield United claim a shock victory against Spurs.
Bournemouth have plenty to play for as well, as they look to clinch a top-half finish in what would be a fitting conclusion to an impressive first season for Andoni Iraola.
The Cherries have been rewarded for sticking by the Spanish coach despite a shaky start, and could end the season in 10th place if they better Brighton's result against Man Utd.
Chelsea are on the brink of securing European football as they prepare to host Bournemouth on the final day of the Premier League season. The Blues, under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino, have hit their stride at the perfect time, stringing together four consecutive victories that have catapulted them up the table and into contention for a coveted spot in Europe.
The West London club's late-season resurgence has put them in the driver's seat for European qualification. Currently occupying sixth place in the Premier League standings, a solitary point against the Cherries would guarantee Chelsea a berth in the Europa League.
However, if their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur stumble against Sheffield United, the Blues could leapfrog them into fifth place. With Newcastle and Manchester United breathing down their necks, just three points behind, Chelsea's destiny is firmly in their own hands.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have enjoyed a remarkable campaign and are aiming to cap it off with a top-half finish. Level on points with Brighton in tenth place, the Cherries will be determined to end their season on a high note. Bournemouth's attacking brand of football has made them a formidable opponent throughout the season, and their visit to Stamford Bridge promises to be an entertaining affair.
